Hunger Strike 2009 update:
Note to John and Kelly. . .I am not going to start eating regularly until you two start cooking me chicken and rice every day OR until I am allowed to never get in my crate ever again. Your choice.
Now on to my chronicle of events:
I went to the vet on Wednesday--I was totally surprised because I saw some guy named Dr. Evans. Where is Dr. Steve??? I thought that I would get to hang out with him.
Anyway, clean bill of health from the vet. He thinks that my tummy is just upset from the gum I ate and that I might be depressed. I've started eating a little bit. . but I'm digging the attention. So I am walking a fine line of not eating and eating just to stress out John and Kelly as much as possible. It seems to be working!!!!
On a side note, Huffle's relatives live at my vet's office. There were two black kittens there that look just like her. I tried put one of them in my mouth juuuuuust a little bit to see how he tasted. John freaked out and spoke in his loud voice of doom. . . .pffft!

As long as you got a clean bill of health from the vets, it's OK to try to freak your humans out by not eating. I think you should get chicken and rice - I mean ... your tummy is upset! It needs sooooothing. What could be better than chicken and rice?!!?

Wooos! I like MFT's suggestion, a new puppy! But that might be annoying, I tried to taste my kitties once, I just licked them a bit, boy were they mad at me. They do not like to be washed.
I think you need all of the rice and chicken you can eat, Mom always makes that for me when I have an upset tummy.

I'm so sorry that you had to go to another clinic and not mine. Trust me, mine is better. I would send John outside for not letting you taste (you were just going to lick, right?) the cat.

We are really confused. They are all upset that you are not eating and then when you try to taste a cat, they get upset at that. Aren't humans really confusing.
We are glad the vet said you were ok! We have been thinking about you! Now aren't you glad you did not eat any of Huffle's relatives? Please eat right!
Tell J&K not to worry, Huskies go on hunger strike occasionally, they only eat when they feel like it, especially if they haven't been working.... err playing zoomies.
They also don't (usually) overfeed themselves like other dogs (Echo). Call Diefy's Mom if you're worried.
