Merry Christmas from a hopeful HULA member

Happy Christmas wooers and meowers,

While John and Kelly were enjoying their morning coffee and breakfast casserole I decided that today was a good day to try and get their and Meeshka's attention in my hopeful acceptance into HULA!

After yesterdays 2+" of rain, today was a great day to dig, with it being Christmas and all.

Long story short, I ended up getting a bath! Here I am in the tub. . kinda racy, huh?

Here I am getting a snack for being such a good girl! I even let Kelly use the blow dryer thingy on me!

Next comes the best part of my morning. . getting presents for being so good! Here are me and Ozzie checking out our loot!

Here's Ozzie trying to get his milk bone out of the plastic Siberian torture device. I got mine out in like 1 second. Ozzie took too long, and eventually I went over and got it out for him. And I ate it!

See--here's mine! Empty!

Here's the other Siberian torture device that we got. This thing has snacks on the inside and we're supposed to somehow get the snacks out. Ozzie spent a long time licking and biting and he couldn't figure it out. I, on the other hand, just rolled it around and the snacks came pouring out! Yes, I'm brilliant!

So anyway, I hope that my behaviour today was good enough to get into HULA. I mean I did make John and Kelly stop their whole gift exchange just to give me a bath. And then after all of that I ended up getting presents anyway! Pretty smart stuff, huh? I am ready for world dominance.

Yummy Christmas Cookies!

Hello fellow furries!

I hope efurryone is getting snow. Sadly, we aren't.

Well today has been great. We have gotten to hang out with both John and Kelly. And then we got to eat something we are actually allowed to. Kelly and John made us special holiday cookies...

And boy are they yummie! We only have around 40. I wish efurryone was here so they could have one. They taste very natural. But better than that natural flavor of the Georgia red clay Zowie is so fond of.

I don't know how this was helpful to the whole cookie making process, but apparently Zowie thought it was necessary.

Victory

Hello puppers and meowers,

Last night was a BIG victory for the ol' Oz Man. Do you know what this is?

Well. . what it was? It is/was something that Kelly uses when she is "working" from home. Well, I'm a working dog and I don't need one of these to get my jobs done. In fact, all I need is some zoomies, a little sister to pick on, and a nice corner to put my feetyfeets up in the air.

Anyway, when Kelly is "working" she always gets this thing out and her computer out and then she stares at it for hours. Like it's the most interesting thing in the world. Like it's cooler than me! Can you believe that. . I think she looks at the computer more than she looks at the hunky, husky Oz Man. I mean heck, all the computer is for is doing the bloggy anyway.

So last night, when J & K were out, I killed it. Done, over, finished, fineto, Kapushka. (I just made up that word. . what do you think?) Anyway, now I should get undivided attention from Zowie, John, and Kelly.

It was not delicious. It was not fun. I did not enjoy it at all. . . but sometimes an Ozzie's got to do what an Ozzie's got to do. Someone had to make this sacrifice. . and that someone was me.

I'm now just waiting to see if it works!

PS. For those of you that don't know, this was a 'VPN Token' which is used to securely access my network at the job. While he did successfully make me go to the office today(backfire eh Oz-tsk, tsk), with the help of tech support, I am now able to access the network from home again. I am now wondering how he will do on the naughty/nice assessment from santa, hmmm.-Kelly

What we've been doing!

Since we've last posted, here's what's been going on.

1. Zowie had her special "parts" surgery. Here she is wearing a t-shirt while she was recovering.

2. We have PRESENTS!!! We don't have a tree because John and Kelly think that we'll destroy it--but we do have PRESENTS!!! So I am guarding the presents really well. Just look at me.

"Sniff, sniff" There must be something tasty in this one.

3. While I'm on guard duty--ding dong Zowie has taken to watching TV. Can you believe it? She watched about an hour of TV the other day. It was the Military channel doing a show on dogs that worked in the Pacific during WW II. She was very intrigued!



She was especially interested in these German boys.

Only a few more days until Christmas. I promise that I have been very good. . .really!

Thanksgiving Essay Part 2

I know that many of you are very interested in the continuation of our trip to Florida. I would love to share lots of pictures with you, but I forgot to take them on account of the fun we were having. And sadly, you all probably remember Kelly's poor excuse of photography skills, so she wasn't allowed to use the camera.

I decided since we got back home to try and see if Zowie can get some skills going with the camera. Here is one of her attempts at a group shot. I think it is pretty good. She needs to work on her aim, but who is that stunning guy in the background?? Well, surprise, it's me! Look at my perch. I am simply amazing!


I wanted to let everyone know that Zozo is doing much better after her special surgery. Here's a shot I took of her eating MY bone. I thought I could share with her on account of her owie on her belly.



FYI: She is all ready to do zoomies but J & K won't let her because she still has 7 staples in her tummy. Phhbt! I had like 10 or 11 when I had my surgery. She's such a wimp. And I barely licked it. STUD!

Now back to the trip down south. We had lots of fun, but alas...your wishes and hopes were not met......NO TURKEY!!!! Can you believe it? They had all this grub everywhere and we didn't get to do anything but smell it. Who's the Lame-O's? But Grandma and Grampa were nice enough to let us play and run free in their house. They had white tile and white carpet. I got to meet Kelly's brother and sister in law too. No really. . . they are into law as well. Does that make them in law in laws?? Aroooo, roooooo, roooo. I just came up with that one right here!! They are more cat people but they really liked us tons. Maybe on account of our pointy ears or something. Personally I think it is because we are just irresistible!

I have talked and talked up a storm and Kelly is telling me to quit pawing because I am gonna bore you all with the details.

What We've Been Doing

Hiya Efurryone! Well, John said that since I couldn't play with Zowie that I needed to write a "theme" on my Thanksgiving vacation. Here it goes.

My Thanksgiving Vacation Part I

Zowie and I took a roadtrip to Florida to visit grandma and grandpa for Thanksgiving. Zowie slept the whole way down and back in the car. I, on the other hand, decided to squeek and moan for six hours in the car.

Grandma and Grandpa were super-fun and they had sooo much food at their house. This is the second time that I have seen my grandparents. Here's a link to the first time if you want to get caught up. My grandparents have gotten so much smaller than the last time that I saw them. Strange, huh? Some things never change, though. . I was still forced to sing "Home on the Range"--just like last time. Why do they DO that???

Here's a picture of how well-behaved we were at their house. Notice how calm and peaceful we were.

We have been relaxing quite a bit since we got home.

We've been Lame-O's

I wanted to put up a quick post to let everyone know we are all OK here. Zowie had surgery on Wednesday and is doing well. She is being threatened with the dreaded lampshade. She did get her girlie parts messed with and appears ready to play. J & K won't let her play with me so I too am tortured. I will get some photos up as soon as the end of the day.

We miss you all and apologize for our absence.
